Not a typo. There are red wines from Chassagne Montrachet, and they're good. They represent a tiny portion of the village's output but they are great values and this one drinks like a rock star. Read more about it below.
Aged under optimal conditions by the domaine, this red Burgundy is a premium estate release by Vincent Girardin. Although Chassagne-Montrachet is mainly thought of as a Chardonnay hub, there are still plots of Pinot Noir, harkening back to the area's red grape provenance. Michael brought in a limited amount of this library release after having lunch with Vincent Girardin's export manager. A Premier Cru red Burgundy offering exceptional value.
